Some people say that horizontal tabs are obsolete and to be honest I have no idea what to say about that since I usually use Ctrl+Tab to switch between tabs and I couldn't care less about their location on screen. On the other hand most of those people who work with a lot of tabs opened will probably enjoy moving from the old school horizontal tab bar to a tree-style one so that's why I decided to end this week with a closer look at Tree Style Tab one of the recently updated Firefox addons from Mozilla.org...

Still labeled as "Experimental" by Mozilla today on the 17th of June Tree Style Tab may also have a rather strange version number - 0.12.2011060202 - but one thing's sure: it gets the job done and offers quite a few settings to mess with. Even more it's extremely popular and its current rating is not bad at all - after no less than 1764334 downloads and 657 user reviews its rating is 4/5 stars.

Fully compatible with Firefox versions from 3.6 to 7.0a1 (wow!) Tree Style Tab 0.12.2011060202 allows you to easily collapse/expand sub trees open new tab between existing tabs dropping link or URL string there change the way your tabs are being displayed and much more - discovering all the goodies packed by Tree Style Tab seems like a pretty interesting thing to do in a boring Sunday afternoon don't you think? In the end all I can say is that Tree Style Tab got me - I won't stop using the keyboard as often as I can but I'll surely keep this piece of code around to make my life easier. That's all folks - have a nice weekend and a lot of tabs to go with it! :P
