Specify Gender of Interest in Facebook Account

A Facebook account always displays the complete information of the user profile which includes hometown current living place gender date of birth etc. When a Facebook account is created it by default contains no information about the gender in which user is interested. In other words every user who creates his profile does that so that he can meet new friends who can be either male or female or both. This information is configured in the user profile under Interested In section. By default no option is selected and users need to manually choose the checkboxes to indicate the gender in which they are interested while looking for friends. As a Facebook user if you want to specify the gender in which you are interested while searching new friends you can follow the steps given below:

1. Logon to Facebook account by providing appropriate credentials.

2. Click on the display name link on the top left corner of the first page.

3. On the opened page click on Edit Profile button from the top right corner.

4. On the newly opened page ensure that you are on Basic Information option on left section of the page.

5. In the right section check the checkboxes telling about the gender in which you are interested while looking for friends under Interested Insection.

   

6. Click on Save Changes button to save new settings that you have configured.
