Manage Yahoo! Messenger Friend’s List View in Windows 7

There are many users around the globe who are much socialized and therefore they have several friends who are added in their Yahoo! Messenger’s friend list. Because of this reason sometimes it might be quite hectic for them to view the entire friend list in a single glance and they need to scroll the bar every time they need to locate any specific friend to interact with him/her. If the friend list is limited to 100 or 150 friends the default configuration works quite well. However if the number of friends increase the specified limit it is recommended that users should configure Yahoo! Messenger application to display friend’s list in the form of compact view. Compact view displays more number of friends but hides the details of each friend that otherwise is easily seen when detailed view is selected. As Yahoo! Messenger user in Windows 7 if you want to display friends list in compact view you are required to follow the steps given below:

1. Logon to Yahoo! Messenger chat application by providing appropriate credentials.

2. Click on Messenger menu and click on Preferences option.

3. On the appeared box from the left pane click on Appearance and from the right pane under Messenger List section click on **Compact view (1 line per contact; view more contacts)**radio button to select it.

   

4. Click on Ok button to save the changes and now you can view the changed form of friends list.
