Hide Gender Information from Public in Facebook

By default Facebook displays all information of a user profile to everyone who visits it. This means that all the information that is mentioned by a user is made public so that anyone who wants to locate the user can view his information and verify if he is the right person who is being looked for. For any genuine and authentic person making his information global is not a big deal as for him/her there is nothing to hide from people. However in many cases people especially girls may want to hide some of their information so that their privacy can be maintained. An important thing that many people may want to hide from others while using Facebook account is their gender. The reason behind this might be that everyone knows that there are several people who wander around and as soon as they find a profile where Female is mentioned as a gender they may start teasing and harassing them. Therefore if as a Facebook user you want to hide your gender information from public you can follow the steps given below:

1. Logon to Facebook account by providing appropriate credentials.

2. On the main page click on the link of your name that is displayed at the top left corner.

3. On the opened page click on Edit Profile button available at the top left corner.

4. On the new page make sure that you are on Basic Information option from the left pane and from the right portion of the page uncheck Show my sex in my profile checkbox available under I Amoption.

   

5. Finally click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
