Firefox Theme of the Week - Sky Pilot Classic
Until today I considered that Firefox skins that apply complex textures here and there are completely out of my league. Obviously the only reason for this is the fact that I like to keep things as simple as possible but that doesn't mean I can't change my ways at least once in a while. Today the Firefox theme that made me remember that I actually love complex textures is here and its name is Sky Pilot Classic so let's take a closer look at it shall we?
While some may say that there's no way for a one year old Firefox theme to look fresh I disagree with that. Sky Pilot Classic (Blue/Gray/Purple) 3.6.0.3 was released back in early March 2010 but all the numbers look great - it works with Firefox 3.0 - 3.7a2 has a rating of 5/5 stars after 33 reviews and no less than 31794 downloads. I know this is nothing compared to other Firefox themes but my goal is not to tell you about the most popular Firefox themes only to find the ones worth checking out no matter if they have been download only by 100 people or over 100000000. ;)
Before I go I should also tell you that I noticed a few strange things while messing with my Sky Pilot Classic-skinned Firefox for example the two SimilarWeb icons in the toolbar or the rather strange and not-so-good-looking About screen of the browser. Other than these I should also tell you that I love the new tabs the texture added to the menu bar or the buttons. In the end that's what makes things interesting - nothing's perfect but there's always something good/beautiful to see in everything around it only depends on the eye of the beholder...
