Create New Groups in Yahoo! Messenger in Windows 7

Yahoo! Messenger is also capable of categorizing contacts in the messenger list according to the locations behaviors relations etc. This means that users can now create different groups and add contacts in those groups according to their choices and natures. Creating a group is quite a simple process which generally requires Next > Next > Finish steps to perform. However it is recommended that names of the groups should always be kept sensible and realistic so that they can be recognized at a single glance. Users can create as many groups as they want and can add as many contacts in each group according to the needs. As a Yahoo! Messenger chat user if you want to create groups in the application you are required to follow the steps given below:

1. Provide appropriate credentials in Yahoo! Messenger interface to logon.

2. On the main interface click on Contacts menu and go to Manage Groups option.

3. On the appeared submenu click on Create New Group and on the opened box specify the name of the new group as desired.

4. Once you are done with it click on Okbutton to finalize the creation.

   

5. Recently created group can be seen at the bottom of contact list.
